I had a calender of Erte years ago and i've just got round to cutting the pictures out so i can use them for something they're just the most beautiful things. I couldn't find my favourite to post though :(. Art deco in general is just so appealing!

challenge 4. i didn't like the first one i did (which is the one with totoro) because it felt superficial and really fan arty. So i did a second one which was more about the meaning of what hayao miyazaki makes. Oh yea that was the artist and the objects were forest and note. So i went with environmentalism. the second one is better in my opinion but i still have issues with it.

Hieronymus Bosch. He just has such a good name. Not my favourite of renaissance painters but the detail is just so cool. there is so much in one painting and the biblical scenes are weird but magical.

Okay I feel super bad or not appreciating Shaun Tans talent earlier but i'll make up for it by harking on about how cool he is. This is a talk its pretty long so i doubt anyone will watch it but even if you watch a little he talks about his work and makes really awesome points about the nature of art itself.

challenge 3. shitty scanner meant i had to muck with the contrast and brightness so you can actually see it. but you can't see all the the really soft subtle lines i spent so long drawing in ):

Challenge 2. I really enjoyed fat. I need some smaller brushes, thats why theres no detail in the face because i just couldn't fit it in there. Scanners really ruin images but oh well. Sorry for not posting more i guess i'm just not up to much.
