Okay I feel super bad or not appreciating Shaun Tans talent earlier but i'll make up for it by harking on about how cool he is. This is a talk its pretty long so i doubt anyone will watch it but even if you watch a little he talks about his work and makes really awesome points about the nature of art itself.

challenge 3. shitty scanner meant i had to muck with the contrast and brightness so you can actually see it. but you can't see all the the really soft subtle lines i spent so long drawing in ):

Challenge 2. I really enjoyed fat. I need some smaller brushes, thats why theres no detail in the face because i just couldn't fit it in there. Scanners really ruin images but oh well. Sorry for not posting more i guess i'm just not up to much.

So i've started joining in on this art thing. And this was challenge one. Things to incorporate: Gustav Klimt, spoon and skeleton. Feel free to share yo thoughts.

I got this book out from the library after seeing the brand Juxtapoz at Scorpio Books. And it is such a good brand unfortunately the library only has this book. But its great and i am inspired.



I want to make something a bit like the pictures above. I'm not sure yet to make it into a big project and rope others in as well or not. But I am excited to make something finally.
