suggestions for background anyone? i could leave it as is but it looks unfinished and if i want to give stuff away it should look good. i thought about peach coloured but the appeal of peach might just be because peaches are furry and fabulous looking. i dunno. sorry about crappy photo.

i've been working on this for awhile. i thought it looked good then when i took a photo i realised that she looks really gumby? i don't understand what happened. and the linseed oil keeps sinking in instead of staying solid and shiny. ugh.

mothers day card. ive been inspired. this was a bit of practise. i want to buy a nice big canvas and just do this but bigger and better. hopefully. we'll see.

new painting this time trying out gesso on the background. And using linseed oil instead of turps to thin the paint. And doodles that might eventuate to something but maybe not.

I bought this today, pretty excited first art book ever. Dali is great, if i ever become an artist i would want to be just like him.

Challenge 8, city, floating, invention of Leonardo Da Vinci. One of them John fixed up on photoshop for me.

i forgot to add this one. Challenge 6 i believe. dog, umbrella, duvet. And try something completely new.

So this is basically i think the best work i have ever done and i just wanted to take a photo of it because i'm giving it away and it should be on here. My ultimate aim is to get back to the point i was at when i made this. I spent the most time painting this hah maybe theres a correlation there, even though i didn't like it at first. Anyway theres a shitty photo of my best work.

challenge 4. i didn't like the first one i did (which is the one with totoro) because it felt superficial and really fan arty. So i did a second one which was more about the meaning of what hayao miyazaki makes. Oh yea that was the artist and the objects were forest and note. So i went with environmentalism. the second one is better in my opinion but i still have issues with it.

challenge 3. shitty scanner meant i had to muck with the contrast and brightness so you can actually see it. but you can't see all the the really soft subtle lines i spent so long drawing in ):

Challenge 2. I really enjoyed fat. I need some smaller brushes, thats why theres no detail in the face because i just couldn't fit it in there. Scanners really ruin images but oh well. Sorry for not posting more i guess i'm just not up to much.

So i've started joining in on this art thing. And this was challenge one. Things to incorporate: Gustav Klimt, spoon and skeleton. Feel free to share yo thoughts.

Also I did this awhile ago, i'm not really happy with it and i don't know if it's finished or not. But at least I did something i guess. any want to critique me?
